About Rogers Family …
When they're on stage, they use the name “Scenic Roots”. I've heard others call them “the tie-dye family” since that's their traditional fashion statement. From left to right, they are Amber Rogers (on fiddle), Erin Rogers (on mountain dulcimer) and their father, Doug Rogers (on guitar), so they're also known simply as “the Rogers family”.
Doug's wife has a good job, so Doug has the time to home school the girls. That makes it easier for them to enter most of the young musician contests in this part of the country. I've caught them at contests in Colby and Guthrie and know they've competed (and placed) in many others.
