Springstreet and Sawlog 'N' Strings share the same birth-year. From a festival in Oklahoma in 1990 to a Bill Monroe concert in Arkansas, Mike Williams and Steve Carroll coined the band named from a street sign just outside the music hall. A return trip to Oklahoma netted guitarist / vocalist Dan Neito. Gene Vesley, with bass in hand, completed the picture that has to its credit festivals and other events, live radio, and a recording project in 1995. Plans are to record originals written by band members.
