Sawlog 'n' Strings Bluegrass Festival (near Jetmore, Kansas) Memories of the 2001 FestivalThanksSome said the festival was the best, this year. I received hundreds of positive comments. Getting the first-timers out is the challenge and, in that area, we made great strides, according to my feedback. The flyer pilot program found many new members (fan flyer-dispersal). The family atmosphere is really cherished - to quote one comment sheet, "...family, fun tradition...legacy of your forefathers live on in Warner Grove...laughter, good music, food, fellowship. This is the stuff good families are made of - we hope your children carry the torch - we love to see them." I wish, again, that I could transfer some of the festival-praising comments to you. It would only be right, that each helper feel some success. The best I can do, I suppose, is to continue to offer, through me, gratitude from the body of benefactors - people who value the experience over the tangible. To all the advertisers, displayers, demonstrators, benevolent performers, wranglers, gate people, fans, and unseen volunteers upholding the wholesome standards of work and rest, I say, " I help you serve, with pleasure!"
