Our plane home left at 6 am. For an international flight, we were supposed to be there two hours early. That meant being at the airport by 4 am. The last thing we wanted to do was miss the flight. So we got our sleeping done in the afternoon and evening, loaded things in the car and headed downtown before closing time at 3 am. We went to our favourite hang-out: Erin's on Water Street. There were five people there: two bartenders; Sandy (aka The Queen of George Street, a friend from the On-Line Kitchen Party); Jim Joyce (a singer from Naples, Florida who has been singing at Erin's on Monday nights this summer); and Chris Andrews of the excellent hard-driving celtic band, Shanneyganock. It was amazing that we could be on Water Street at closing time and be home in Great Bend by 4 that afternoon.
