Band Scramble & Costume Contest

At 10:00 am on Wednesday, people usually sign up for the Band Scramble hosted at the River Rat Camp by Greg and Gail Tucker. Then the impromptu bands return at 1:00 pm for a Band Scramble contest, interspersed with a costume contest. In 2005, it was raining at 10:00 am and few showed up for the sign-up. The weather cleared soon thereafter, so the 2005 event turned into something dubbed the Band Straggle. Each year's event has a theme and this year's theme was Harry Potter. As usual, I attended the event to record it for posterity, not to enter the contest. Nevertheless, I was urged into the costume contest and was chosen the best Hagrid, thus earning the button you see here.
