Carp Camp Parade

Long, long ago, festival-goers didn't get their wristbands until the Wednesday immediately before the festival. Those in Carp Camp would go en masse to the main gate to get their wristbands. Although wristbands are now required from Land Rush Day onward, there's usually someone in Carp Camp who still needs to obtain one. To say this is a colorful spectacle is to understate the case. People from other camps now join the parade. Dave Firestine brings some silly hats for those who forgot to bring their own. This is only one Carp Camp tradition. Others include the annual Pot Luck Supper held at the Grier/Swift/Fakoury Camp across the road and, of course, their world-famous jam sessions.
