The Tenth Annual Tumbleweed Festival, will be held August 25 - 26 at the
Lee Richardson Zoo featuring John McCutcheon,
Little Nathan and the Zydeco Cha Cha's,
Frank Mantooth/Bob Bowman,
Kerry Grombacher
, Ritmo Latino, and
other local favorites such as Willis Pracht/Konnie Ott, Homestead, Al
Miller, 91 Cents, Irsik Brothers, Max Moomaw, and the Whirlwind Quintet
on two stages. A third stage for children's entertainment, featuring
storytellers, puppeteers, One man acts, children's songs, and jugglers
with the likes of Jim Jackson, Stone Lion Puppets, Pricilla Howe, Eric
West Scott McCray, Professor Gizmo, Eulenspiegel Puppet Theater, Richard
Renner, and Margaret Myers will also be a highlight. With a variety of
activities for the whole family, this festival which runs from 10 - 8 on
Saturday and 12 - 6 on Sunday is Garden City's finest Family Event.
Buttons, good for both days, are $5 advance and $6 for adults, $1 for
children at the gate. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for a
wonderful time. Concessions will be available on grounds. No coolers
allowed, please.
