This was my first Winfield experience. Frankly, when I checked out the schedules of events, I was baffled as to why and what this “musical signing” could be about. All it takes is one experience of Linda T. with John McCutcheon, Tom Chapin, & Michael Mark to see how much she enhances & flows with the music and becomes a part of the entertainment. I have a daughter who is seriously into ballet and other forms of dance. I attempted to describe to her how the signing became a dance form as well as a way of “singing” with the hands. Since there's no way to get that on a CD, I would suggest the next step is “Winfield: Coming Home - The Video” (or the DVD)!!!

I have enjoyed Linda's work for many years, and have the good fortune to know her personally as well. What a kick that she has her own website! (Thanks Don) Singing/signing “The Great Storm is Over” with Bob Franke was the high point of this year's festival for me. What an incredibly moving experience. See y'all next year.
