Don Shorock

For the past 2 years, Don has attended Land Rush and is the first one on the ball diamond.
Since roping off areas isn't permitted, he touts the site's disadvantages:

• it's close to the highway;
• it gets very muddy when it rains.
  (but it's home.)

Thus, the ball diamond is usually pretty empty when the advance party arrives from Albuquerque.
Well, it didn't scare off Charles Elliott in 1996, but it usually works.
