Husband and wife duo Wayne and Millie Lauritsen from Gem, Kansas make up the group Sappa Strings. They are genuine Kansas farm folks who love people and performing. Their music is a reflection of who they are—positive and gracious—with a simple but rich sound. Wayne has been a long-time singer, guitar player and cowboy poet whose forté includes ballads, country western and gospel songs, but Millie began her musical stint just in the past decade, taking up the autoharp as a hobby, then branching out to dulcimer and recently acquiring her second dobro! Now obviously much more than a hobby, the two have gained a following of loyal friends around Kansas, Nebraska and Colorado who appreciate their devotion to each other, their music and their fans. We're sure you'll appreciate them, too!
