Chris Biggs & Usual Suspects

Chris Biggs

Usual Suspects specialize in traditional fiddle tunes, mountain music and ballads. Fiddle player Peter Knupfer has toured professionally with bluegrass bands for years, performing with Grass, Food and Lodging before joining the Suspects. Peter was classically trained at a very early age and took up fiddle bowing when he was in his teens. He was previously named Wisconsin Fiddle Champion--and has the rare ability to intertwine his classical training with expert fiddle musicianship. Marc Bennet, surrounding the upright bass (he's fun to watch play!) is the son of Bill Bennet of the famed "Bennett Brothers" of Wichita, who have been loved in bluegrass circles for years--known for their incomparable family harmony. Chris Biggs, guitar and banjo player, won the Kansas flatpicking and banjo contest at Lawrence, Ks in 1994. He has finished third in the Flatpick Contest in Winfield on 3 occassions, and has also been a judge for the same contest. You'll appreciate the fine musicianship of this group.
