The McLemore Family

During their two-year leave from Blue Horizon, Bob and Susan McLemore could not bear giving up bluegrass entirely, and fortunately they have been blessed with very talented children! Now 13, twins Blake and Brandon (on bass and mandolin, respectively) began performing on stage when they were 10. Two-time winners in the P.O.P. Youth Contest, the pair have also performed in the Acoustic Kids Showcase at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, KS. In three short years, the twins have become quite adept on their instruments-receiving some training from the well-renowned Chapman boys, but learning mostly from other~musicians at festivals and picking it up on their own. Their favorite part of the music is the jamming, and at Winfield they are often found in the middle of the campsite picking with professional musicians from all over the U.S. Of course the kids are the highlight in this group--we think you'll be impressed!
