Welcome
| Gladys Coggswell ![]() Gladys' expertise in the areas of "Holistic Teaching/Learning through the Art of Storytelling" and "Storytelling as a Violence Prevention Strategy" have put her in demand as a keynote speaker and workshop facilitator. She is also a favorite on the Storytelling Conference/Festival circuit. In 2001, after the tragic terrorist attack on America, Gladys boarded ten planes in less than two months to fulfill appearance obligations. "People were hungry for stories and came together in love and unity like I have never witnessed before. We were able to laugh through our tears through the stories that brought us together. A fierce proponent of storytelling as a teaching tool, Gladys Coggswell is quick to point out that the thing she got in the most trouble for in school was talking, "And yet, that is how I make my living. No one saw it as a gift and it certainly wasn't on the IQ test. I wonder if any of the authors of the IQ tests know how to make a living telling stories. Hmmmm !!! After speaking in Washington, DC to members of the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Gladys has received many calls from other state coalitions to speak to their advocates. "It is very rewarding to speak to and fellowship with these non-violent warriors who are generously giving their time and energy while on the battlefield for peace, safety and respect.
