Folk Alliance 2009

Memories

I wear three hats in the folk music community:
  1. operator of a tiny venue (The Back Room in Great Bend, KS)
  2. photographer (and recently videographer) of musicians
  3. designer of web sites for the folk music community
I attended my first Folk Alliance Conference officially wearing the first of those hats. However, I found it impossible to avoid the other two roles. Hence this little web site.

For each photo, there are 3 versions. The main pages show thumbnail versions. Clicking on the thumbnail brings you to a framed medium-size version of the picture. Clicking on that picture brings you to a large version of the picture. If that isn't large enough and you want a very large original of that picture and you have enough bandwidth to receive a large file, I'd be glad to e-mail you that version. Warning: these files range from about 1½ MB to 3¼ MB and may clog your mailbox or be rejected by your service provider. To make such a request, just use the e-mail link on the page containing the framed mid-sized version of the picture.

Four consecutive days of 18 hours a day has a tendency to fog the memory, especially as I get older. The result is a few photos that I was unable to index properly on the site. These are show at the help me page on this site. Please take a look. If you recognize the subjects of these photos, please use the e-mail link on the page containing the framed mid-sized version of the picture and let me know so I can improve the site.

Likewise, if you find any errors in the labelling of the photos, please call them to my attention.

Thanks.
