Don's shortwave page

Since my earliest years, I've always enjoyed listening to shortwave broadcast stations. Although I knew and visited many ham radio operators as a boy, I never did get into amateur radio, instead preferring to learn about the world through listening to shortwave broadcast stations.

Like many SWLs, I'd send a reception report and get back a QSL card, many of which, like this one from Radio Australia, I still have forty years later.

Although I now find that CNN's World Report serves much the same purpose in my life, as well as listening to RealAudio® I still often find time to listen to broadcasts direct from international broadcasters. At the risk of omission, I'll name a few favorites:

Those wishing to learn more about shortwave listening and related interests should check the latest issue of The Shortwave Radio Catalog which contains links to HUNDREDS of web sites of interest.
