A brief visit to Nassau

In 1962, I came to Kansas from New Jersey to attend college at Ottawa University. I stayed in Kansas, but have always had family in New Jersey, so I've had 44 years of commuting between the two. For variety, I've taken every conceivable route by air, bus, train or car. I've driven through Sault Ste. Marie and through New Orleans and everything in between. However, until 2006, I had never made the trip via Nassau in The Bahamas.

The opportunity came when I had a voucher from Continental Airlines. A simple round-trip from Kansas to New Jersey would not have used the full value of the voucher. In an effort to push the cost of the trip slightly over that value, I found I could easily afford to go to New Jersey via Nassau. I spent 2½ days there with 3 nights at the Wyndham Nassau Resort. This web site is a photo tour of what I saw.
