As a tribute to the Buffalo Soldiers, especially to Oscar Micheaux's brother, Lawrence Michaux, who died in the Spanish-American War, the Buffalo Soldier re-enactors from Nicodemus, Kansas will perform in full uniform and on horseback. Lawrence was a Pvt. in Company C 8, Illinois Infantry.
