The Black Heritage Club is a group from the Great Bend, Larned, and Pratt areas that promotes awareness of black history and culture. The group was one of the sponsors of the Micheaux event. On Saturday, following James McDaniel's presentation at the Crest, they hosted a reception (complete with hors d'oeuvres) for all festivalgoers in the courtyard of the Angus Inn.
