A good dressing room
A sound system
Some artists bring their own sound system.
Most find it unnecessary to use one.

Our location

Great Bend is located almost exactly in the center of Kansas which is located in the center of the U.S. While our small (pop. 15,000) town is relatively isolated, we're conveniently located for touring artists travelling between the Rockies and the more populated parts of the plains. If you're making that trip and will have an evening to spare, we'd like to have you stop and perform in Great Bend.

Terms & Conditions

Since it affects what we can pay you, you can name the price of admission. We have only 40 seats, and can usually fill at least half of them. We'll give you 75% of the gate and keep 25% to help pay for the building and for improvements to the room. In addition to that, we'll be glad to take you out to dinner before or after the performance. We can try to get you a special rate at a local motel or we can ask whether a member is willing to put you up for the night. We've normally charged $10 for admission, giving us a maximum of $400 in gate receipts, which would mean $300 plus dinner for the performer(s). We are willing to consider a guarantee of 50% of the capacity gate receipts (i.e., $200 if ticket price is $10.00) if we have ample time for publicity and think we can find enough people interested in your type of performance at the ticket price you name. If you need a guarantee, ask for one in the Anything else? section.
